While our researchers are well-placed to lead and manage research projects involving the development of games and interactive media products, many are also creative practitioners engaged in practice-based research ranging from experimental game design to digital art.
This module develops your awareness and understanding of the factors that impact research design for business and management students. You explore the ethical principles underpinning business research, research methodologies, data type, collection and analysis, research methods and how to present a research proposal and dissertation. Be at the forefront of new and emerging technologies being developed or trialled in association with the airport, including hydrogen vehicles and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The individual research projects (IRPs) allow the students to specialise in a digital aviation topic relevant to their career development. The real-world relevance of the research project topics is an effective differentiator in the job market. With expert faculty, real-world case studies, and practical applications, the MIAL ensures that graduates are industry-ready legal professionals.
All modules are indicative only, and may be subject to change for your year of entry. Special cards in this model cover MvR’s shooting skills by allowing him both the first shot “Trigger Finger” and the “Sniper,” while his survivability is reflected in game terms with the “Super Ace” designation (for faster recovery) and the Acrobatic Pilot card. Outside of his battle with Hawker, we know that MvR was rather famous for NOT being a fancy flier, but he certainly managed to survive many battles play avia masters game and, in game terms, these skills will help him do so. In late 1916, he became a test pilot and in May 1917, transferred to Austria’s first true fighter squadron, Flik 41J, though injuries from a crash kept him from flying until September.
- Greenhouse gases (GHGs) aren’t the only contributors to global warming created by flying – the clouds formed high up in the atmosphere by planes have a significant impact too.
- The graphics and sound effects are top-notch, and the overall experience is just like being in a real casino.
- Though Frommherz only flew the “Blaue Maus” for a few weeks, the paint scheme is well known.
- Our International Hospitality Management postgraduate course will develop your knowledge to enter managerial positions across the sector, with the opportunity of a residential study trip and the option to undertake a work placement of up to six months.
- Our arts research involves the creation of original works as a commentary on contemporary society, in support of communities, and in exhibition and festivals.
Graduates of the course should find engineering and management opportunities in the aviation ecosystem, including operators, maintenance organisations, financiers, airports and future spaceport operators. This is a structured programme for the student to demonstrate his/her ability to conduct original investigations, to test ideas and to obtain appropriate conclusions from the work. Our industry partners sponsor and support practical projects that meet their business needs.
Leaders within aviation embrace uncertainty and understand that this is the norm for the sector. They introduce robust strategic structures and ideas by creating an agile culture and openness to challenging external factors. You explore emerging concepts such as thought leadership, and how effective implementation can shape organisations strategically in times of environmental change and rising levels of uncertainty. You consider your own skills, qualities and attributes to develop a professional action plan that can be utilised within a leadership role.

Decision making is the cognitive process of selecting a course of action from multiple alternatives. The decision-making process produces a choice of action or an opinion that determines the decision maker’s behaviour and therefore has a profound influence on task performance and multi-criteria problem-solving strategy in aviation. The factors affecting decision making from a business perspective to support an agile and sustainable aviation environment are analysed.
Moreover, with brilliant staff and outstanding facilities, Cranfield is a wonderful place to study. Not only is this key for MROs and airlines but also for the growing number of technology companies that provide ERP solutions for aircraft operations. Lots of good solutions exist within airlines and MROs that address elements of operations (traffic, movements, status, procurement, maintenance management, quality, safety etc) but the future opportunity is integrated solutions at the industry level. This MSc will help develop people who understand the ecosystem of aviation operations and the systems requirements needed to create innovative solutions for the future. Researchers seek to develop new game design frameworks following practice-based approaches, for instance by applying media archaeology to game design.
Internationally recognised teaching and research in game design and digital arts. Though Frommherz only flew the “Blaue Maus” for a few weeks, the paint scheme is well known. Less known is that the ace Werner Voss did some of his early flying in this aircraft. This model includes the Sniper card, and a very interesting “expert trainer” card, which allows the pilot to give extra abilities to a fellow pilot flying nearby.
A few tweaks – mainly upper wing position – turned the design into the D.II model, which went into larger production (although only about 300 were made). Sustainability & Environmental Law in Aviation – Explore the legal aspects of carbon offset programs, emissions trading schemes (CORSIA), and noise pollution regulations that are reshaping the aviation industry toward a greener future. Aviation Finance & Aircraft Leasing – Explore the legal mechanisms behind aircraft financing, leasing contracts, and asset management, including the role of the Cape Town Convention in aircraft ownership and security interests.
Like the squadron, he flew a variety of fighters (including the Albatros in Wings of Glory). In late 1917 he transferred to Flik 60J, under Linke-Crawford (a pilot seen in one of our Aviatik D-1 models) and eventually brought his score to 11 planes, although he was killed in April, 1918 in combat with Sopwith Camels, right after his last victory. The Austrians built the D.III under license but began to make changes and improvements with successive productions, improving streamlining, strengthening the lower wing, and making a faster, more maneuverable plane that was very competitive to the end of the war. Reasonably fast and maneuverable, with two guns versus most allied fighters armed with only one, the Albatros denied the Allies the air superiority they had enjoyed with the DH-2 and Nieuport fighters and made life very difficult until new models arrived. The Albatros factory moved D.III production to their Ostdeutsche Albatros Werke (OAW) partner, even while Bloody April was under way, so that they could shift production to the slightly improved D.V model. Both the D.III and D.V were produced all through 1917 and D.IIIs were still in service in the summer of 1918.
